ST. JUDE'S May 4, 2008 - 10th Annual Ride-A-Thon - collected $2045 (money not all in yet) Well - we had an interesting start to the day. I arrived at the barn at 7:00 AM to get all the chores done and promptly fell down the front stairs that were slick with morning dew. (sigh) I have a torn muscle in my left buttock, runs from the butt cheek down the back of the leg. It has been a very painful healing process and falling down the steps was definitely NOT how to get it healed faster. Only three people that promised to be here didn't show up, every one else was here. Although not as promptly as I'd had hoped (grin). Connie's ride consisted of walking Motley in hand for four hours as he colicked ten minutes before the ride. I gave him a shot of Banamine and put her to work. He is fine but she was very worried until it was all over and he passed manure. Three people had camera's at this ride and I don't have ANY pictures yet to put up here ... check back later.
